Tiny Wheels, Big Smiles: Chaparral TK Box Car Parade Delights Campus

Chaparral Elementary School was filled with excitement and joy as Transitional Kindergarten students proudly rolled through campus for their TK Box Car Parade. Students from both TK classes transformed simple boxes into imaginative costumes and dressed to match, showing off their creativity with big smiles and even bigger confidence. As the parade made its way through the school, students from every grade lined the route, cheering, waving, and celebrating their youngest classmates.

From ice cream trucks and Mater from the Disney movie Cars to characters inspired by K-pop Demon Hunters and many other imaginative designs, each costume reflected the unique interests and personalities of Chaparral’s TK students. Families joined in the fun by lining the parade route and admiring the incredible costumes, creating a warm and supportive atmosphere that made the day extra special. The Box Car Parade was a joyful reminder of the creativity, community spirit, and pride that make Chaparral Elementary such a special place to learn and grow.

Claremont High School Recognized on 2025 AP School Honor Roll

Claremont High School has earned Bronze recognition on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll, a distinction that highlights the school’s strong focus on rigorous, college-level learning and student achievement. This recognition reflects CHS's efforts to strengthen a college-going culture, with 42 percent of the Class of 2025 participating in AP coursework and exams. The data also shows strong progress in college credit and college optimization, demonstrating how students are benefiting from academic opportunities that prepare them for success beyond high school.

The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools across the nation that are helping students engage in challenging coursework while providing the support needed to succeed. From the opening whistle, San Antonio High School played with energy, teamwork, and determination, setting the tone early and maintaining strong momentum throughout the match. The win reflects the hard work and dedication of the student-athletes and coaching staff and marks a proud moment for the San Antonio High School community as the team builds confidence and looks ahead to the rest of the season.

School Spirit Shines at El Roble Dodgeball Game and Student Achievement Celebration

Lunchtime at El Roble Intermediate School was filled with excitement as students packed the yard to cheer on a lively staff-versus-student dodgeball game. Teachers and the principal joined in the fun, facing off against students in a high-energy match that had the crowd laughing, cheering, and fully engaged. The game created a memorable moment of connection and school pride, showcasing the positive relationships and strong sense of community that make El Roble such a special place.

At the same time, El Roble celebrated academic growth by recognizing eighth-grade students whose CAASPP test scores improved compared to one and two years ago. These students earned entries into a raffle for exciting prizes such as skateboards, AirPods, and more. The celebration extended to Claremont High School, where ninth-grade students also participated in the raffle to recognize their academic improvement. Together, these events highlighted the district’s commitment to celebrating both school spirit and student achievement in meaningful and joyful ways.
