Child Development

What We Do

Welcome to the Child Development Program for the Claremont Unified School District. We were established in the early 1980’s to meet the growing childcare needs of Claremont families with elementary school age students. During the last 30 years, the Child Development Department has expanded campus and community services to provide safe, supportive, and active learning environments for children from Preschool through 6th grade. Programs include State Preschool; Fee-based Inclusion Preschool; After School Community Education and Safety (ASES); Best Learning After School Time (BLAST); Expanded Learning opportunities Program (ELOP) and Summer Day Camp.

Each program is designed to meet the developmental needs of the children in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. For assistance in selecting the appropriate program for your child, please call the Child Development Program office at 398-0373 ext. 41002 or stop by our 3rd floor office located at 170 W. San Jose Avenue.
