Tech Ed Challenge Exam

Technology Education for the 21st Century (Tech Ed) is the updated computer education requirement for Claremont Unified School District. The semester-long course offered in grades 7-12, addresses the following course objectives aligned to the National Educational Technology Standards:

• Productivity
• Research and Information Fluency
• Digital Citizenship
• Communication and Collaboration
• Technology Operations and Concepts

Students may test out of this course by successfully completing the Tech Ed Challenge Exam. 

Students should talk to their counselor first to determine eligibility for the exam. This information sheet provides details on content and preparation for the exam.

After speaking with a counselor and reading the information sheet, students may register to take the exam. 

Please note that registration for the exam closes one week before each administration date and will reopen one week after the exam for the next administration.
