The Desert Garden, designed by Kindergarten teachers Judi & Tim McKee, features a dry stream and plants from the southwest.

The Desert Mural, depicting scenes from the Colorado Desert, was completed by Vista students in the spring of 1998 under the guidance of Merrilyn O'Neill & Aliza Boyer.

Sundial, an ongoing applied science project, was constructed during the spring of 1998 and is currently being decorated with clay mosaics under the direction of Aliza Boyer.

The Numbers is a favorite place to play on campus. The current paint scheme was overseen by Merrilyn O'Neill.

TheViking Mural, painted by Jeannie Steffan, honors Duane Jackman, Vista del Valle Elemenary School Principal from 1968 - 1991.

The Rain Forest Mural was painted by students under the guidance of Merrilyn O'Neill in 1993.
