The information contained herein is my proposal for the types of activities
and workshops I would like to provide to Claremont High School during the
course of our new Digital High School project.
Workshops I propose to offer:
1. Creating a Web Page (composing and posting on the world wide web).
*Including syllabus of couses and possible daily homework log, that students
can easily
access.
2. Gradebook/ Grademachine (or similar grade program)
*How to use, record, weight and keep track of students grades/ reports
on the computer.
3. Searching the Web for lesson plans
*how teachers can use the internet for resources and lessons
*how students can use the web to reseach topics/ subjects in lessons
4. Powerpoint Presentation
*given by teacher or student
5. Utilization of specific software/ hardware (by teacher/ subject) depending
on specialized area in the Visual and Performing Arts
(there is a wide range/ variety of classes offered).
*ex: how to use a digital camera and processing of photo's
6. Wordprocessing- writing, revising/ improving worksheets and exams
Services I can/ will provide during the couse of my TIL project:
1. Coordinate what technology is needed/ per subject in the Arts and find
resouces to provide these things and have them installed.
2. Reseach the best/ most efficient technology available to meet the needs
of both teachers and students.
3. Guidence and support to my fellow teachers to develope higher levels
of computer/ technology skills and how to help
implement in the classroom.
Cirriculum Integration Projects I propose to engage teachers and
students in relate to focusing in on the specific needs of the teachers
and students within the specific Visual and Performing Art specialties.
There is a wide range of focus, therefore I must find the specific needs
of, for example: the theatre, the chorus, the band or drawing and painting-
just to name a few.
Previous experience in technology that relate to teaching:
1. I have owned, opperated and incorperated my personal computer into all
my lesson planning grade organization. I compose handouts and
worksheets for my students, as well as keeping
track of grades, which I post in my classroom by ID numbers.
2. I have taken a computer class at Cal State Fullerton which directly
taught to teachers about how to best use and apply computers in
the classroom.
