STUDENTS

Congratulations and a big thank you to 7th grader Claire Sears for winning a donation for our library. Claire participated in the Riding for Reading non profit organization which promotes reading, literacy and education through equestrian sports and activities. For the past two years, riders representing their schools earned library grants that impacted more than 250, 000 students form New York to Hawaii. Riders show their horses at the walk, trot, and canter and perform additional tests asked by a panel of judges. Donations are awarded based on the placing of each rider. The donation will be used to purchase books for all of our students to check out of the library. Thank you, Claire. El Roble students are the best!

Attention students: To avoid detention, please turn in your signed Code of Conduct form to the student window ASAP. Thank you, Mr. Patterson

Students who purchased the Sports Discount card must have a photo ID to use it at the cafeteria. You must be in line the first ten minutes of lunch and please remember that the card may not be used at the Snack line. Thank you, Dr. Grier

Today is the LAST day to turn in a request for elective change. Please turn in your request to the student window.

The library will be open during lunch so you can shop the Book Fair this week. You need to get a library lunch pass in the morning in order to come during lunch.

There will be a CJSF meeting Thurs. at 2:35 p.m. in room 907. We will be electing new officers so come to cast your vote. Don't forget to wear your shirt. 8th graders who have earned at least 2 A's and 2 B's in math, history, English, and Science may pick up an application at the student window. Applications are due by Friday, Sept. 19th.

Don't forget your picture order forms for tomorrow's picture day. Tomorrow is the ONLY day you may pay and order pictures:). Be sure you have picked out your "pose". Photos will be taken during your PE class tomorrow.

Miderat is meeting this Wed. from 2:30-3:15 p.m. in room 309. Come join the fun of helping others!

And in EL Roble Sporting News: Due too the large number of participants who tried out for the El Roble sports team, not everyone was able to make the teams. Please check the PE showcase in front of the locker rooms to see if you made our teams. If your name is on the list, please get dressed ready for practice, and meet in gym by 2:30 p.m. Everyone who tried out was awesome and we want to thank you for your great Panther spirit:). Mr. Molloy
