STUDENTS

Students please stay off the grass area during lunch when it's raining. By staying off the grass area we can continue to maintain clean classrooms.

Students that are enrolled in an 8th period class are reminded to be on time. Class starts at 2:20p.m., if you are late or do not attend the class there will be consequences.

Students must show their student ID at the cafeteria. The temporary white cards are no longer acceptable. If you have lost your ID please go to the student window with $5.00 to order a replacement. Students are to do this before or after school only and the ID will be ready the same day. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you, the Cafeteria staff.

CJSF Members: If you would like to see the movie Bolt this Thurs. after school, pick up a permission slip at the student window today. Permission slips and donations must be returned to the student window by 3:00 p.m. TODAY.

Students are invited to submit their original artwork and poetry for publication in this year's yearbook. Poetry must be 20 lines or less. Artwork is to be on unlined paper in black ink. Please submit your work to Ms. McGourty-Riggs in room 405 by Friday.

Attention all candy lovers, the 8th grade party planning committee will sell See's candies today after school by the flag pole. Snowman boxes, foil balls and holiday fancy boxes will be sold for $5.00 each. The candy makes great gifts for the holidays and for teachers.

Don't forget to sign up for El Roble's first Spelling Bee! Our school is participating in the 2009 Scripps National Spelling Bee and the El Roble winner could be selected to t compete in Washington D.C.! You must sign up in rm. 308 by this Friday.

If you are missing any towels, PE clothes, other clothing or personal items please check the lost and found bin by the student window before Friday. The bin will be emptied then and all items will be donated to charity.

TRACKS

TEEN LEAD will be selling Holiday Grams tomorrow at the TAC after school. They have been made especially for you by your peer leaders of the TAC. The cost is 50 cents. All money earned will be given to the Claremont Family Emergency Fund for families in need.

The TAC will be open 12:35 – 5:00 p.m. Friday. Please note they are closing at 5:00 p.m. not 6:00 p.m.

The TAC will be closed for Winter Break, but we will be providing a FREE recreation program just for you at the YAC which is located next to CHS. The program is available Dec. 23 and 24th, and Dec. 29th – 31st from noon until 5:00 p.m. This special program is for grades 7 – 12 only.
