Tomorrow is the last day to bring new toy and gift donations for the House of Ruth. If everyone brings 1 new item El Roble would brighten up the holidays for over 1100 children! Drop off the gifts BEFORE school at the student window. Let's all help those less fortunate to have a happy holiday.
There will be a CJSF meeting today promptly at 2:20 p.m. in rm. 907.
The library will be open for 1st lunch only today, and Thurs. It will also be open after school today.
Attention 8th graders: If you participated in the See's Candies fundraiser your candy will be available for pick up TODAY in the MPR from 2:15 to 3:00 p.m. ONLY. Don't forget to pick them up then.
Attention all students: Are you a good speller? You are invited to participate in El Roble's 1st Spelling Bee. If you are interested, please sign up in room 308 by Friday, Dec. 19th.
Don't forget the big Barnes and Noble fundraiser for El Roble tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. at the Montclair Plaza. Be sure to go and do some holiday shopping and help support El Roble at the same time.
What's white, white, and white all over?…the Winter Wonderland Dance of course! The date is Fri. Dec. 12 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets will go on sale next Wed. after school, and Thursday before and after school only. The cost is $3.00. There will be no tickets for sale at the door, so don't miss out. This will be a great dance with food and drinks also, so don't disappoint Santa, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer…they'll be sad they missed you
There will be no 8th period classes next week as counselors are creating new class schedules. The schedules will be distributed to students and new 8th period classes will begin the week of Dec. 15th.
Students are invited to submit their original artwork and poetry for publication in this year's yearbook. Poetry is to be 20 lines or less. Artwork is to be on unlined paper in black ink. Please submit your work to Ms. McGourty-Riggs in room 405 by December 19th.
El Roble's girls and boys basketball tryouts start next Tues. You need to have a completed athletic clearance form and get a sport's physical. You will not be allowed to tryout without one. Forms are available at the student window. Don't wait until the last minute or you will miss out.
Gurls Group members: there will be a lunch trip to the Village tomorrow from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. so don't forget to get your permission slips!
All TAC members: We will be hosting a FREE Parent and Student Diner at the TAC this Fri. from 7 to 9:00 p.m. There will be free food, performances by some of our student groups, parent vs. child contests and tournaments, and much more. RSVP's are a must, so to pick up your invitation TODAY!
