Head each paper in the following manner:

Capitalize the first word of the title and all other words in the title except a, an, the, and connecting words.

Use only white paper, 8 1/2" X 11". Neatly trim spiral notebook paper.

Double space typed material on 8 1/2" X 11" unlined white paper. Computer usage: use a 12 point font, do not use all capital letters; choose an easy to read font and stay with same font throughout the paper.

Write neatly, clearly, and legibly. Soiled or crumpled papers are not acceptable.

Write on only one side of the paper and use pencil for rough drafts and blue or black ink for final drafts.

Write close to the margin line on the left. Leave a one-inch margin on the right and at the bottom of the page.

Indent all paragraphs uniformly- one inch if handwritten or five spaces if typewritten.

Do not use the sign "&" or the abbreviation "etc." (It is better to avoid abbreviations).

Divide a word only at the end of a syllable. Words of one syllable may not be divided.

Always write in complete sentences.

Always re-read written work and correct errors in punctuation, spelling, grammar, and sentence structure before turning it in.

Rewrite pages which are not neat because of corrections or erasures.

If an assignment is longer than one page, number the pages beginning with page two.
