we need your cooperation

e have assembled this handbook to answer your questions about El Roble Intermediate School. Please take the time to read all of the information. The activity in our main office has steadily increased over the past few years to the point where we are finding it difficult to meet all of the demands on our time, especially with reduced staff due to budget cuts and diminished resources. The time you help save the office staff goes into making our school run more efficiently for the students. We are requesting your assistance in the following ways:

  • Review this handbook carefully and highlight areas that may pertain to your student.

  • Follow the procedutes for checking your student out of school early for an appointment.

  • Call in your student's absence on the morning of the absence (398-0349).

  • Place the monthly calendars where you can refer to them daily. Check them first before calling about pre-scheduled activities such as picture day, minimum days, etc.

  • Please be sure your student has everything he/she will need for the school day before coming to school. These items may include a lunch, P.E. clothes, books, homework, bus pass, jacket. Our work schedule does not allow for time to deliver these items to your student.

  • Be sure your student knows how he/she is getting home after school, especially on minimum days or rainy days. Again, our work schedule does not allow for time to deliver messages about appointments after school, transportation, etc.
