he Health Office is located in the school office area. When an illness or injury occurs at school, the student should request an office pass to the Health Office from the teacher.
A student infected with any contagious disease may not remain in a public school. If the student has a communicable disease, such as measles or mumps, the parent should contact the nurse or health clerk for a date when the student may be readmitted.
UNDER CALIFORNIA LAW, WHEN PRESCRIBED MEDICATION MUST BE GIVEN DURING SCHOOL HOURS, PROPER FORMS ARE TO BE FILLED OUT BY THE PARENTS AND THE DOCTOR. The forms may be obtained from the office.
Medication will be received by the school only when delivered by a parent or designated adult. Students may not bring their medication to the Health Office.
At the end of the school year, medicine remaining will not be sent home with students. A parent or designated adult must come get medication. It will be kept for two weeks after the last day of school and then will be discarded.
