grades

he school year is divided into three grading periods. Each trimester is graded separately, using the letter grades of A (Outstanding); B (Above average); C (Average); D (Below average); and F (Failing). These five grades are for performance of the required standards in a subject. Citizenship is graded as O (Outstanding); S (Satisfactory; N (Needs improvement); and U (Unsatisfactory).

Trimester Dates
December 3, 2004 End of First Trimester
March 11, 2005 End of Second Trimester
June 16, 2005 End of Third Trimester

Midway through each trimester, progress reports are mailed home indicating the current grades. This early alert provides you with an awareness of the grades, the reasons for them, and gives the student time to improve if necessary before the final grades at the end of the trimester. The progress-reporting period will end on the following dates:

October 22, 2004
January 28, 2005
April 29, 2005

Your teachers and counselors are available to discuss your progress with you at any time. Your parents are encouraged to contact the school regarding your achievement.
