In the summer of 2001, I cast off the mantle of sleep long enough to take a number of photographs of dawn's rising from the Mountjoy Farm, adjacent to the Science Site of the University of Durham. Over a month and several rather early mornings, I tried to capture the incredible imagery that the mornings in summer can bring, before the dull grey clouds of midday sweep in and render the day into monochrome doldrums. This portfolio consists of fourteen of the best results from the endeavour. |
