BYLAWS of the

CLAREMONT HIGH SCHOOL PFA

AFFILIATE ORGANIZATION



ARTICLE I: AFFILIATION
 
 The ______________________________________, hereafter called the organization, is an affiliate of the Claremont High School PFA, a California non-profit public benefit corporation. This organization does not have a separate legal existence, but is legally part of the Claremont High School PFA. Within that affiliation, this organization shall operate independently, subject to limitations contained in these bylaws or in the bylaws of the Claremont High School PFA.
 
 

ARTICLE II: OFFICERS

The organization shall have as a minimum two (2) officers.
 
 

ARTICLE III: DUTIES OF OFFICERS

Section 3.01: President

  1. Insure that the reporting requirements set out in these bylaws are met. 
  2. Perform other duties as outlined by the organizationís membership. 

Section 3.02: Treasurer

  1. Prepare an organization budget and have it approved by the organizationís membership prior to the May CHS PFA Calendar meeting. Forward the approved budget to the CHS PFA Executive Board for approval. 
  2. Act as the official custodian and disbursing officer of organization funds. 
  3. Keep organization funds in a bank. Keep an accurate record of all receipts and disbursements. 
  4. Make all disbursements by check, signed by two (2) organization officers. 
  5. Submit an annual financial report to the CHS PFA Executive Board staff accountant no later than June 30th

ARTICLE IV: PFA REPRESENTATION

  • The organization shall provide the name of an organization member who shall report to the Executive Board as an organization representative.
     
     
  • ARTICLE V: REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

    Section 5.01: Bylaws

  • A copy of the organizationís current approved bylaws shall be submitted to the CHS PFA Executive Board at the beginning of each school year and whenever the bylaws are changed.
  • Section 5.02: Insurance Coverage

  • To insure the organizationís activities receive liability insurance coverage, the organization shall submit, to the CHS PFA Executive Board at the beginning of the school year, the following information:
    1. Organizationís name: 
    2. List of officers and addresses: 
    3. List of planned activities for the school year. Include activity location and, if off campus, means of transportation. 

    ARTICLE VI: AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS

    Section 6.01: Organization Approval

  • These bylaws may be approved for amendment at any general meeting of the organization by a two-thirds vote of the members present and voting.
  • Section 6.02: CHS PFA Executive Board Approval

  • Amendments, repeals, or adoptions of these bylaws or any new bylaws by this organization must be approved by the CHS PFA Executive Board and shall not be effective until such approval has been made.
