Agreement
Claremont Faculty Association and
Claremont Unified School District
Master Contract Beginning January 1, 1999

It is tentatively agreed that the following changes in the Master Contract between the Claremont Faculty Association and the Claremont Unified School District will be effective beginning January 1, 1999:

A Salary Schedule Package Agreement will include these components:
  • A 4.25% increase to the 1998 salary schedule effective January 1, 1999.
  • As of July 1, 1999, a COLA percentage increase shall be applied to the 1999 salary schedule. The COLA percentage shall be equivalent to the percentage change in the funded base revenue limit per ADA. This percentage change is calculated as the difference between the net funded 1999/2000 base revenue limit per ADA and the net funded 1998/1999 base revenue limit per ADA. The percentage of the above-defined COLA dedicated to smoothing lthe salary schedule shall be calculated as of July 1, 1999 and shall be a portion of the increase.
  • A Task Force shall be convened according to the attached memo of understanding to create a rubric for excellence that will identify the standards associated with a districtwide educational program of the highest quality. The rubric will provide benchmarks and outcomes of success.
  • The negotiated allocation for health and welfare benefits will remain status quo. The determination of the health and welfare benefits package will continue to be the responsibility of the Shared Decision Making Benefits COmmittee.
  • Article XXVIII: Term of Agreement
This agreement shall be in force and effect from January 1, 1999 up to and including June 30, 2000. The District and the Association shall each be entitled to non-fiscal openers during the term of this agreement and general re-openers no later than May 31, 2000.
