Claremont Adult School

Each year Claremont Adult School serves over 5,000 adults, offering many classes including parenting, English as a Second Language, high school diploma/GED, literacy, computer skills, fine arts, and foreign languages. Both daytime and evening classes are offered.

Classes for older adults are one primary focus of the Adult School. A variety of painting, writing, lectures, foreign language, genealogy, and needle arts classes are offered to meet the varied interests and needs of seniors. About 2,000 community members attend these classes.

Another emphasis of the Adult School program is English as a Second Language. Over 1,000 adults from over 50 countries attend these classes. A third major focus is parent education. Seven parent participation, pre-school classes meet at two locations offering parenting skills to several hundred parents.
