Safe Schools: First Aid Training

First aid is the immediate response to an injury or illness. Every employee who works with students is required to have First Aid Training, and receive updated training every three (3) years.

New employees are informed of the first aid training requirement when they are hired. The employee then attends a First Aid Training Workshop at the next available date. These workshops are repeated several times during the year or the employee may attend a workshop held by an outside agency.
