SEVERE WINDSTORM
 

WARNING:

Telephone call from District Office or civil agency such as Fire or Sheriff's Department.
 

If high winds develop during school hours, the following emergency actions will be accomplished:

A.

Implement Action: "DROP-TAKE COVER" (take cover signal)

B.

Students and staff should be assembled inside buildings.

C.

Close windows and blinds.
 

Staff

D.

Remain near an inside wall if possible.
 

Teacher

E.

Evacuate classrooms bearing full force of wind.
 

F.

Keep tuned to one of the state designated radio stations for latest advisory information.

G.

Take roll.
 

Teacher

H.

School office will notify utility companies of an actual or suspected damage to the utility service.
 

Office Manager

I.

If necessary/possible, school office will contact the Fire/Police Department, District Office, and/or District Maintenance and Operations Department.

J.

Assess need for psychological first aid/activate Crisis Team if necessary.
