Preschool Registration

State Preschool Program - Registration open for Distance Learning

Preschool provided virtually by a CUSD preschool teacher with at-home learning activities. 

To be eligible for the State Preschool Program, at Sumner Danbury and Vista del Valle, families must meet eligibility requirements. Child must be fully toilet trained (unless diapering is due to a disability).

To be eligible a family shall meet the eligibility criteria as follows:

  • Family is a current aid recipient;
  • Family is income eligible (not exceeding income ceiling established by CA Department of Education);
  • Family is experiencing homeless;
  • Child enrolling is a recipient of child protective services, or is at risk of abuse/neglect
  • Families must reside in the state of California
  • Child must be 3 or 4 years of age 
  • Priority is given to 4-year old children 

Documentation

The following documentation must be provided at the time of registration in order to verify eligibility:

  • Proof of Residency
  • Proof of Family Income (all sources)
  • Birth Certificate/Birth Record for all Children in Family
  • Current Physical for Enrolling Child
  • Immunization Record for Enrolling Child

Mountain View Preschool - Registration will resume in Phase 2 

To be eligible for the Preschool Inclusion Program at Mountain View Elementary, children must be three (3) years of age and fully potty trained (unless diapering is due to a disability).

Parents must also pay a registration fee at the time of enrollment and a monthly tuition fee (please contact the Child Development Office for more information).

Documentation

The following documentation must be provided at the time of registration in order to verify eligibility:

  • Proof of Residency
  • Birth Certificate/Birth Record for Enrolling Child
  • Current Physical for Enrolling Child
  • Immunization Record for Enrolling Child

Registration 

Due to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health "Safer at Home" order, the district office is closed to the public.  At this time, you can begin the registration process by: 

  1. Completing  this form.

  2. Downloading  and printing the application at home or picking up an application, please call ahead of time. 

  3. Complete the application with blue/black ink.    

  4.  Call the child development office to drop off the completed packet.

  5. The preschool clerk will contact you to schedule an eligibility interview over the phone.

  6. An appointment will be scheduled to finalize enrollment and obtain required signatures.
