Family Life Education

What is Family Life Education?

Family Life Education is a requirement for public schools in California.  Claremont Unified School District administers the curriculum every spring to 5th and 6th graders.  The 5th and 6th grade Family Life curriculum was updated to meet the Health Education Content Standards for California Public Schools K-12. The minimal changes continue to meet the goals/outcomes of the CUSD Health Education Curriculum Committee and Board of Education approval. The updated 5th/6th grade curriculum can be found at all elementary sites in both printed and in PDF format.  All elementary sites schedule a Parent Preview meeting, notify parents of the dates the curriculum will be covered along with parent permission slips.
