John Sedia began his career in the Claremont Unified School District as an adapted physical education teacher at Danbury School. Prior to joining CUSD, John was a Learning Handicapped teacher for a semester with Bonita Unified School District. He also served as a substitute teacher for that district. He taught PE at the High Point Academy in Pasadena, California. He served as a track coach at Bonita High School and freshman football coach at San Dimas High School. He has been called an outstanding teacher and a real motivator. He sets high performance standards for his students. Some adjectives used to describe this outstanding teacher are:
