Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

As the Spring Semester begins, there are exciting things happening at CHS. We welcome a new guidance counselor who will work at both CHS and San Antonio High School. In addition, CHS was allocated another full time campus monitor who will begin employment at CHS at the end of February.

The theatre renovation project continues to make progress. Due to the recent inclement weather, the completion date has been moved back a few weeks to the later part of March.

In late December, CHS received the results from the Healthy Kids Survey administered to 9th and 11th grade students in 2008, 2010, and in the Spring of 2012. This state survey looks at substance abuse, campus safety and student connectedness. If you click on the link to the right of this column under “News”, you will find a summary of the some of the key results of this survey.

Also, all parents, guardians, or care-givers are encouraged to read the High School Years Newsletter emailed home at the beginning of each month with the weekly update.

The partnership between the CHS family and the important adults in your student’s lives is one we take very seriously. By working together, we can improve the chances that all students will grow academically, socially, physically and emotionally while attending CHS.
