Biographical Sketches
Steven Llanusa is the Technology Coordinator at a Science/Magnet school in San Bernardino County. A teacher for 18 years, he also developed math and science curriculum for the NASA STEP program. He and his partner, Glenn Miya, have lived in Claremont since 1995. They are the parents of Alex and Aaron, both ninth graders at Claremont High School, and Eric, a seventh grader at El Roble Intermediate School. Mr. Llanusa received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and holds an M.A. in education. He has served as secretary of the Condit PFA, board member of the El Roble PFA, first vice-president of the CHS PFA, and member of the district’s Asset Advisory Committee. Other district activities include developing materials for the Claremont Educational Foundation and working in various Booster Groups at El Roble and CHS. Mr. Llanusa’s community activities include membership in the Claremont Coordinating Council, Our Lady of the Assumption, and the Claremont Chamber of Commerce.
