Biographical Sketches
Hilary LaConte has a Master of Arts in Education from Claremont Graduate University, where she also taught as an Adjunct Associate Professor in Teacher Education. She has taught in Child Development at Chaffey College and was a classroom teacher at Vista del Valle Elementary School in Claremont. An active parent and community member, Hilary currently serves on the Board of the Curtain Raisers at the Claremont Colleges, the Planning Group for Uncommon Good, and is a past president of the Claremont Parent Faculty Association. Hilary recently served on the CUSD Science Adoption Committee, the Claremont Parent Faculty Association, and the El Roble Parent Faculty Association. She is a member of the Claremont Coordinating Council, the Foothill Philharmonic Association, the League of Women Voters and the Claremont Chamber of Commerce. Hilary, who grew up in Claremont, attended Vista del Valle Elementary School, El Roble Intermediate School, and Claremont High School. She and her husband Joe have two boys who attend Claremont public schools.
